Tata Tiago CNG vs. Competitors: Price & Specs

With the release of the Tiago iCNG, Tata Motors has re-entered the passenger car CNG market in India. The hatchback is priced at Rs 6.10 lakh, and there are four variations to pick from. Other cheap hatchbacks such as the Maruti Suzuki Wagon R CNG, Hyundai Santro CNG, and the recently announced Maruti Suzuki Celerio CNG will compete with the Tata Tiago ICNG.

Overall, Tata Tiago is the broadest and longest and produces the greatest power (73hp/95Nm) whereas Celerio CNG is the most fuel-efficient vehicle in the lineup.

Dimensions of the Tata Tiago CNG vs. its Competitors

Because these are inexpensive hatchbacks, all of the models are under 4 meters long. The Tata Tiago is the longest and broadest vehicle here, with a total length of 3,765mm and a width of 1,677mm. The Tiago, on the other hand, is the shortest in this comparison. Furthermore, the boot space of the Tiago CNG is only 80 liters, compared to 242 liters in the petrol version. This is because the CNG tank has been added. In terms of total length and width, the new Celerio trails the Tiago, but the Maruti has the edge on the Tata when it comes to the wheelbase, which is the longest here.

The Wagon R is the tallest here at 1,675mm, thanks to its tall-boy attitude. It also has a 2,435mm wheelbase, which is the same as the Celerio. The Santro CNG is the smallest package here in terms of total dimensions. The Hyundai is the second tallest rival in its segment and shares Tata's 2,400mm wheelbase. Except for the Wagon R, all of the competitors use 14-inch wheels and Tyres.
